·         Inligting oor tye, gewone klere dae ens.

·         Kennisgewings oor TUG (Dissiplinêre verhoor, ouers moet by wees)

Communication with parents

There are a few ways in which the school communicates with the parents.  It is important that parents are informed about what is happening at school at all times.  Students can receive letters or announcements at school.  Talk to your child and explain to them that it is important that they inform you of any new developments at school or if they received any letters.  Uninvolved parents make it difficult to effectively help the child.  Here are some other ways to stay informed:

1)  SMS

The school sends sms’s to parents regularly containing important information. It is important to make sure the school has the correct phone numbers.  It is your responsibility to inform the school of a new number.  It is VERY important that the school has the correct contact details of parents.  We have to be able to reach you in emergency circumstances.

The SMS’s can contain the following information:

·         Information on times/ civvie days etc.

·         Notices about disciplinary hearings (Parents need to attend)

·         Notices that letters were sent out and need to be returned.

·         Notices that the student is often late for school.

·         Parent evenings (Good relationships with the teachers are important for the students’ education.)

    2)The monthly letter

The monthly letter is a newsletter that the school publishes every month with important information on dates, functions, announcements, fees, discipline etc.  This letter is available on the website, app and at school.
